About Accommodation

Let it all go…

This is one of those camps where you feel like the service and pampering has reached the limits, but suddenly it turns out there is even more spoiling possible. Camp Kuzuma is situated in the in the pristine Kazuma Forest Reserve in the Chobe region of Botswana. With wildlife in abundance, including breeding herds of elephant, leopard, lion, spotted hyena, giraffe, large buffalo herds, roan antelope and sable – just to name a few – there is a constant flow of animals roaming the area. And if the abundant wildlife isn’t enough, the hospitality of the fine staff will embrace you from the minute you set foot in the camp. High end meals and delicious food await you after every safari activity, the most knowledgeable guides and trackers, a swimming pool almost within hand’s reach of the elephant watering hole (which is a very bustling place – you’ll see), and warm service at moments when you don’t even realise that you need anything. This will be one of those rare holidays in where you can find true relaxation; you don’t have to worry about anything except pinching yourself every so often to make sure you are not dreaming.

Camp Kuzuma is a personal and small-scale camp, with only seven suites. Custom built, open plan tented suites are situated under a canopy of Mopane trees. All tents are furnished with a great eye for detail and design. Not only are they luxurious and spacious, the staff and management also thought of everything to make you even more comfortable: en suite facilities with indoor and outdoor shower (is there a better way to wake up in the bush?) plus a Victorian style bathtub, a king-size bed with deluxe linen and mosquito net, all the bathroom amenities you need and - maybe the most important part - a private viewing deck where fresh brewed coffee is served every morning to wake you up before the first safari activity. The main areas of Camp Kuzuma are just as comfortable and come with countless cosy nooks to settle down. Or take a jump in the pool during hot hours of the day, followed by a nap on the lounge chairs after you watched the local elephant herd passing by. Indulge yourself during an extensive high-tea buffet or delicious supper prepared by chefs Jaco and Dandy in the homey dining area, while you share safari stories with other guests. And if you thought you reached the limit of true pampering: wait until you visit the wellness centre.
