Overview
Established as a Hunting Reserve in April 1938.
Established as a National Park II in December 1964.
Location: Situated in the province of Cunene, between Colui River and Cunene River.
Area: 6.600 km ².
Description: The landscape consists in hills, with an annual rainfall of 620 mm and an average temperature of 23 ° C.
Vegetation: mosaic forest-savanna, woodland and savannah with dry shrubs.
Fauna: Although this park was established in 1964 to protect the Giraffa, it is believed that in 1974, there were none. The mammals that characterize the park are cahama, lion, leopard and hyena.
