Chikunto Safari Lodge is located within the South Luangwa National Park less than an hour's drive from the National Park's Mfuwe gate. Flanked by rolling plains, plateaus, river banks and miombo vegetation our lodge is located in an area of distinctive natural beauty.

Since opening in April 2018 the property has become renowned for its prolific wildlife and spectacular game viewing.

When Regula and Jens met for the first time in Cape Town in 2004 they never had imagined that a few years down the line their love for Africa would lead them building their very own lodge in South Luangwa Nationalpark, Zambia.

Their first trip to Cape Town led to countless road trips throughout South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Malawi, Tanzania and Madagascar. The experiences in these countries further deepened their love for Southern Africa, its people, the flora and fauna. They had travelled all over the world, but they always found themselves back in Southern Africa every year!

Every time they had to leave, they always thought to themselves how great it would be to run a business in Africa and do something that they would both be passionate about.
