About Accommodation
Nestled amongst fever trees in the shadow of Mount Kenya, the new stylish & luxurious Sanctuary Tambarare, opening 1 June 2022, delivers the perfect balance of adventure and serenity. Sanctuary Tambarare looks out across the grassy plateau of the award-winning Ol Pejeta Conservancy, 90,000 acres of unspoilt African landscape, where the Big Five roam, including the last two northern white rhinos on earth. The camp only has ten luxurious tents which are large (57sqm) and airy with private verandas.
The camp is accessible by road and the drive from Nairobi to Sanctuary Tambarare is approximately 4-5 hours.
The camp is also accessible by air, you can book a flight to Nanyuki Airstrip or Kamok Airstrip from Wilson Airport in Nairobi.
Transfer from Nanyuki airstrip to the camp is approximately 1 hour and Transfer from Kamok Airstrip to the camp is approximately 30 minutes.
